Q: What is the ACÁ blog?
A: The ACÁ blog is a community-sourced space where adoptee voices are centered and heard. We aim to feature adoptee experiences through adoptee-authored reflections, experiences, and stories.
Q: What kind of content do you post?
A: We like to feature a wide variety of content from the community! We accept anything from a traditional written blog post, poems, artwork, and video submissions!
Q: How do I submit something to be featured on the ACÁ blog?
A: We accept submissions on a rolling basis. Our submissions committee reviews submissions and reserves the right to only feature something if it fits within the mission of ACÁ. If you have something you would like to be reviewed, please submit it here. Additionally, please be sure your submission adheres to ACÁ Community Guidelines.
Q: How long will it take for my submission to be featured?
A: ACÁ is a completely volunteer-run organization, so while we try to be as timely as possible, sometimes life gets in the way. The submission committee reviews all submissions and typically provides feedback and some edits when necessary. The best way to expedite your submission is to ensure you have included all of the necessary material in your submission.
Q: What should I include in my submission?
A: A few things! Please include the content you want to be featured (preferably as a Google or Word document for written submissions) with a working title, any photos you want included in the post, your name, a headshot, and a brief bio.
